Last Week 5-6-1

A disappointing week for the 12 pack, but a really great week for the 6 pack. Trust me, that won’t stop me from making the extra picks. I’ve never seen a game that I didn’t like. Here’s a quick recap of last week’s 6 pack.
Texas Tech @ Baylor : Win
This was easy. Sure, I picked Tech because I went there. However, all Tech fans were confident that we would handle Baylor with ease. Tech has made it a point to feed Taj early and often, which has been very successful. This has made things a lot easier for Morton. The Red Raiders are starting to look like the team we expected to be to start the year. I just wish we didn’t have to suffer bad losses to have to get to this point. A win this week, and you will start to hear us, Tech fans really start discussing a Big 12 conference championship.
Alabama @ Texas A&M: Win
In Saban, we trust. I was very happy to see Aggie lose this one. I found plenty of joy in this result. A&M was in the perfect position to pull off the minor upset, but Alabama was Alabama. We need to remember to not overthink these things. You win money betting on Alabama with Nick Saban. Poor Jimbo, he really could’ve used this one. I’m interested to see how that one plays out.
Oklahoma @ Texas: Loss
Texas isn’t back. Every year, we go through the same thing where everyone believes they are back until they aren’t. I will say this year was much different, though. They turned me into a believer. I thought they were back after that win at Alabama. They just waited a little longer this year to show that they weren’t back. Let’s be honest, a loss to Oklahoma isn’t the end of the world for UT. They are still talented and can come back from this. Oklahoma definitely showed they are for real in this one. This is a potential Big 12 championship rematch… well until Tech runs the table and takes UTs spot.
LSU @ Mizzou: Win
Wow, what a cover. A pick 6 at the very end of the game. We are definitely fortunate to have won this one. I have had enough bad beats in my time; I earned this win. Thank you to the gambling gods for looking over Locky and the 6 pack. I’m sure this week I will have to pay for getting this win.
Iowa @ Purdue: Win
Fat quarterback for the win. I don’t care if it didn’t look pretty. I don’t care if just over throws every receiver with that rocket arm. FAT QUARTERBACKS ARE ELECTRIC. I always bet Iowa, and I love when they come through for me. I’m going to keep backing the big fella. Let’s go Hawkeye nation.
Colorado @ Arizona State: Push
Thank God I got the 3 instead of the 3.5. That late movement got me the push. Again, I’m probably going to have to pay for that this week, but I’ll still take it. Colorado got the job done, but it wasn’t pretty. At least this week, they will have Hunter back to help save the day.
