Last Week: 14-14-2
Total: 67-61-6
We are back following a 14-14-2 week. The Six pack did very well, but the 30 rack brought us down to .500. Don’t worry, I am going back to the well again with 30 more picks, and let me tell you; I love the board. Come join me on this journey of flavor through my week 11 6 pack.
1. Seasonal Shiner Cheer: Texas Tech @ Kansas -4
The holidays are upon us. We get to enjoy Shiners’ best seasonal beer, Shiner Cheer. You have a short time to enjoy it because it’s only a seasonal beer. With that in mind, you have to cherish it and enjoy every second you get to drink this beer. It’s a real live in the moment kind of drink. Well, these last 2 weeks, Kansas has had their moment.

I hope they enjoyed their big win over OU and follow up win over Iowa State. It’s all coming to an end this week. Here’s a tidbit for you. After an outright win as an underdog, short home favorites of 4 points or less the following week are 73-105-2 (41%). That sounds good for Tech. Tahj Brooks should be able to have success against this Kansas defense. If Tech can force Bean to throw the ball, he will make kistakes that our opportunistic secondary will take advantage of. Kansas will be able to move the back on Tech through Neal and Bean. I expect a high scoring game with Tech to come out on top. Tech has more talent on the roster and should thrive with the extra rest and prep time. I’ll take the points, the moneyline, and the over.
Pick: Texas Tech +4, Texas Tech ML, over 61
2. Near Beer: Utah @ Washington -8
Alright, time to sit back and drink the Near Beer. It tastes like a beer, but you can tell something is missing. That special something that makes the night a little more fun. The alcohol. Well, Utah looks like a good football team, but they are missing something. That special something that makes their team a little more fun and attractive.

Cam “Bad Moon” Rising. He’s not coming back. This team is missing his talent and presence. He would be the piece to take them to the next level. Unfortunately, he’s not there to save them. Washington’s defense will allow them to score some but not enough to keep up with the Huskies’ high-powered offense. For that reason, I’m taking the huskies and the over in this one.
Pick: Washington -8 & over 49.5
3. IPA: Wyoming @ UNLV +6
All right, I’m putting the flannel on this time and telling you about my special IPA that I found. I’m the hipster. It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.

Here is a Friday night Mountain West Conference showdown between 2 teams with conference title hopes. UNLV has a big game next week vs. Air Force to take over the top spot in the conference. But first, they need to get past the Cowboys. Wyoming still has an outside shot at making the conference championship game. There is a lot on the line in this game. I know it’s not power 5 football, but trust me, it’s still a good one. See, I’ve become exactly what I hated, an IPA hipster. Wyoming has played a tough schedule and has been impressive at times. I trust them more in this situation and will take them plus the points and to win the game. I’m worried UNLV might be looking forward to the Air Force match-up next week.
Pick: Wyoming +6 & ML
4. Old Bag of Milk: Rutgers @ Iowa -1
This might be a little too gross to put in your six pack. If you are faint of heart, I don’t advise you to watch this one. 4 out of 5 dentists agree that this game will feel like getting a root canal. Your doctor will prescribe you laxitives to clean your system of this game. This game is gross and disgusting. Like an old bag of milk, this will leave your stomach turning. This game is not for the casuals; this is for football guys. I live for this football game, I can not get enough of it. These are the two teams I have backed all season long. I am a Schiano man at heart. I love physical Rutgers football. I also love Iowa reluctance to try to field an offense from the 21st century. This game is everything I have ever wanted. A total of 27.5… now that’s football. I’m going to have to give the edge to Iowa at home here. If I lose, at least that meant Rutgers gets a win. I hope there are no touchdowns in this game.

Pick: Iowa -1
5. Fireball: Oklahoma State @ UCF +2
Remember what I said about fireball? You know what you are getting into. You know it’s trouble, but you still end up drinking it. That’s definitely this game here. Every expert is going to be on UCF here. They are a good home team and great historically as a home dog. Also, this is a big letdown spot for Oklahoma State following Bedlam. Well, guess what? I don’t care about any of that now. Oklahoma State has one man who can keep this team on track.

Ok, Bowman’s playing well, but that’s not what I was thinking. Ollie Gordon is one of the most explosive players in the country. Learn the name; he is carrying this team. I expect Oklahoma State to win this one and keep their big 12 title hope alive
Pick: Oklahoma State -2
6. Sour Beer: Cincinnati @ Houston -2
Oh, the sour beer. The new trend. The change of pace. Out with the old and in with the new. Well, if that is the case, this new trend is not catching on that well. These new big 12 teams have been less than impressive so far. Maybe Cincinnati can pick up its first big 12 win against another new to the conference team. Sadly, I don’t think so. Houston has had their moments this year where they have looked good. I think they should be able to handle Cincinnati at home relatively comfortably. Coach Dana always knows what he has to do to survive. Just when you think he’s in trouble, he gets enough done to stick around. I’ll lay the points with Houston here.
Pick: Houston -2
Well, there you have it. 10 drinks in your 6 pack this week. Remember, I love the board this week. That’s why I have enough picks below to fill your 30 rack. Let’s win some money this week. Remember, every pick is a winner until it’s not.
