Another week, another assorted 6 pack full of picks for you. We need to get better. How do we accomplish that? By getting reckless and picking even more games. The 12 pack is coming out tonight, fellas. Time to ride, there are winners below.
1. Yinser Beer: Pitt @ Virginia Tech +2.5
Back to the yinser beer this week. Yuenglings will be flowing…. well, they better be because this is a horrific football game. Last week, we won going against Pitt. This week, we will win riding with Pitt. Sure, their offense makes you want to claw your eyes out. That won’t matter because everything about this Virginia Tech team makes you claw your eyes out. That program is a dumpster fire right now.
This will not change on Saturday. This will not change anytime soon. Keep it simple. Keep fading Virginia Tech. Keep making money. Seems easy enough, right?

2. Bourbon Barrel Aged Beer: Troy @ Georgia State -1
This is a delicious find. You went out of your way to look for this one. You don’t just run into these everywhere. Well, we dug deep and found this pick in the Fun Belt conference. Georgia State is off to a strong 4-0 start to the season after beating Coastal Carolina impressively last week. This Tory team is coming in 2-2 with tough losses to a strong James Madison team and a disciplined Kansas State team. I expect the Troy Trojans to be a major factor in the Sun Belt this year, and that starts with a win here. Troy’s run defense will slow down the Georgia state run attack enough to get this big win on the road. Watch this game on Saturday; it’s the Fun Belt. This is what football is all about.

3. Locky Balboa’s Favorite Beer: Michigan State @ Iowa -10
Iowa feels like my favorite Beer. Why? Because this team ends up in the 6 pack every week. I keep drinking them even when I know I should stop. Last week, they couldn’t even score a single point in a loss to Penn State. They could not have looked any worse. So what do we do? We Zig when everyone else Zags. This is when we back the Hawkeyes. Michigan State comes in with many distractions following the dismal of head coach Mel Tucker. This Iowa team has a great defense still and should hold the Michigan State offense in check. I told you I will keep using the angle that Brian Ferentz needs to average over 25 points a game to keep his job. Well, he put up 0 points last week. I’m not sure how math or simple averages work
but I think he’s going to want to put up some points to get on track. Please don’t let me down, Iowa. I don’t want to get hurt again.

4. American Adjunct Lager: South Alabama @ James Madison -2.5
Pull out the PBRs again because we are heading back to the Fun Belt for another one. This here is the top of the top in the Sun Belt. We have a South Alabama Team that has a big win over a power 5 opponent in Oklahoma State. That means nothing to me. Oklahoma State has been awful this year. That program is heading in the wrong direction, so I discount that South Alabama win a little bit. Meanwhile, James Madison just won three straight road games and finally gets to return home for this one. I expect James Madison to win a tough game in front of the home crowd here. Again, this is what football is meant to be. Trust me, watch this game and enjoy some Fun Belt football.

5. IPA: Kansas @ Texas -15
Throw on your Flannel, Keep Austin weird and start telling your friends about your new favorite IPA. Those hipsters in Austin probably care more about that than their own football team. That being said, they do have a good football team this year. Dare I say they are back? Now, to Kansas, they are a fun story and a fun watch. However, they can not stop anyone. So you are telling me both teams have great offenses? Time to root for points. I’ll take the over in the game. Both teams together should surpass 61 points.

6. Beer for the Irish: Notre Dame @ Duke +5.5
It’s time to pop open the Guinness and enjoy this football game. What a brutal loss last week for Notre Dame. Literally came down to the final play. If only they had the full 11 on the field instead of 10. Duke is off to a great start this year at 4-0 with a nice win over Clemson. Duke will have an energized crowd for this game. This is a great opportunity to take down a highly ranked team at home. Too bad Notre Dame needs to bounce back in a big way. I’m still a big believer in this Notre Dame team. They have looked great so far, and a loss to Ohio State isn’t something to look down upon. Notre Dame has too much size for Duke and should handle them here. It’s time to play like a champion today.

I’ll be honest I looked at this slate for a long time and struggled to pinpoint my 6 favorite picks. Doesn’t matter they will still be winners. With all of that being said, I’m still giving 6 more winners to finish up the 12 pack. Ride this week; there are only winners here (until they are not).
