6 Pack Recap

Last week 5-6-1
Total 12-19-1

Alright. Slowly improving going 3-3 on the 6 pack. 12 pack was a slight loser at 5-6-1. Gotta love it. Everyone goes home mad. If you followed, you get nothing. If you faded, you get nothing.

It is still early in the season, but we are getting in a dangerous spot. We need to bounce back this week, or this blog will have to shift focus. Here’s the 6 pack Recap.

Rice @ USF: Loss

Rice sucks. USF might be scrappy. Why did we trust JT Daniels? The guy has been a college quarterback for 10 years. I think I just wanted to believe Rice might actually be something for once. Maybe USF’s performance against Alabama wasn’t a total fluke. Rice had us believing we had a chance most of the game and then proceeded to get their doors blown off in the second half. Rice was definitely the wrong side. Terrible pick.

BYU @ Kansas: Loss

This game was a joke. BYU was the right side, and I’d take them 10 times out of 10. 2 defensive touchdowns for Kansas… that’s brutal. This one hurts; really feel like we deserved this one. Kansas can score a lot of points, but their defense isn’t anything to write home about. It is exciting to see them in the AP rankings again.

Who knows how long it will last, let’s just enjoy the ride. I feel like we were on the right side here, just caught some very bad breaks.

Iowa @ Penn State: Loss

Listen. We knew the offense was horrific. We knew what we were getting into. I just felt like the defense would hold up better. I was expecting 24-10 or 27-13. Leave it to Iowa to continue to surprise us with that terrible offense. To get blanked in such a big game really amazes me. 31-0. Jeez.

Never had a chance here. Brian Ferentz is really in the hot seat now after that performance. His dad can only save him for so long.

UCF @ Kansas State: Win

Business like approach from Kansas State. I would not expect anything less from this team following a loss. This one never felt in doubt; a much needed win for the 6 pack. McClain played well for UCF, but they definitely would’ve preferred to have Plumlee out there. Kansas State is consistency; you can always count on them to bounce back strong following a loss.

UNC @ Pitt: Win

Again, another one that was easy. Drake Maye is him (is that what the kids say?). Pitt is who we thought they were.

Pickett made this offense fun for like a year, but now they are back to the Pitt we know and love. I think Pickett’s high octane offense made Narduzzi sick to his stomach. He’s making sure to get back on track these last couple of years to make this offense boring again. UNC will be a fun watch this year.

UCLA @ Utah: Win

Another easy win. We didn’t even need Cameron “Bad Moon” Rising in this one. UCLA could not move the ball at all on Utah. Chip Kelly isn’t the offensive guru he used to be. This Utah team has been very impressive all year. They will definitely be a team to keep an eye on going forward. They can win us a lot of money this year.

Well, there is your recap. I refuse to discuss the rest of the 12 pack because it will be too long, and Tech hurt me. We will bounce back next week. I probably say that every week, but I see good opportunities to make money. It’s still early in the year; this is only the beginning. Remember, every pick is a winner until it’s not.
