6 Pack of Picks

We are back with another week of college football and another 6 pack full of flavor. 6-8 last week on the 6 pack, but we have 6 stone cold winners in store for you. Here’s the variety we have this week.

Bock: South Carolina @ Georgia -27.5

Bock translates to goat, I’m told. Is the Georgia dynasty entering GOAT status? Probably not yet, but when it comes to beating down Frank Beamer, Kirby Smart may be the GOAT. In his 2 years at South Carolina, Beamer has lost 40-13 and 48-7. This South Carolina team can not block anything, and that will not change in Athens. Furman put up 21 on South Carolina and continuously got in the backfield with 7 tackles for loss. North Carolina had 16 tackles for loss in their game vs. South Carolina. Georgia’s defense will have a field day at home against that line. Kirby loves beating up on Beamer. He will know the spread, and he will not let up, leaving Beamer with a Shiner. Take Georgia, they will win big.

Pick: Georgia-27.5

Mexican Lager: Vanderbilt @ UNLV +4.5

Like a Mexican Lager, you will want to dress this one up with Salt and a lime before you enjoy. Don’t be quick to put 2 Xs through these teams; this game will be a competitive one. Vanderbilt is in a tough spot going out west to play UNLV. However, I have liked what I’ve seen from this Vandy offense. Swann has been an effective quarterback, and Sheppard has been unguardable with 6 touchdowns already on the year. Vandy is trying to turn their program around to be a consistent bowl team, and they will take a step in that direction with a road win here.

Pick: Vandy -4.5

Belgian White: Syracuse @ Purdue +2.5

Enjoy this Belgian white with an orange slice. Well, seems like the odds makers are by favoring The Orange on the road. Will the odds makers ever respect Purdue? Maybe once in a Blue Moon, but not yet this year. Underdogs vs. terrible Virgina Tech team and now home dogs against Syracuse. Don’t get me wrong, Dino Babers puts out a good team most years. However, let’s stop sleeping on Purdue here. Take the Boilermakers plus the points.

Pick: Purdue +2.5

American Lager: Kansas State @ Missouri +4

Old Reliable. Year in and year out this Kansas State plays disciplined, hard-nosed football. Sit down with your best buds because you could become much wiser from watching a disciplined Kansas State team. This feels disrespectful to Kansas State. Did we forget that they are the reigning Big 12 Champions? They are still a very talented team and should take care of Mizzou. Kansas State looked good against a decent Troy team and will continue their momentum here.

Pick: Kansas State -4

American Adjunct Lager: Pitt @ WVU -2.5

The backyard brawl. Put a Blue Ribbon on this game; we are all looking forward to it. Sure, these teams aren’t playing for a Natty this year, but like a Natty, you’ll have fun while drinking this one. Morgantown will be wild for this match-up, and I’m sure they will enjoy 30 racks of affordable beer. like the fans, these teams are going for quantity over quality. Narduzzi runs out the same style of football year in and year out, Got to respect a man who sticks to his guns. But the Key to this game is to leave no Stone unturned. The Lone Star of this game will be the fans in Morgantown. West Virginia will be living the High Life after this game.

Pick: West Virginia -2.5

Stout: Iowa State @ Ohio +3

This Iowa State team is bad. They are going in the road to take on the MAC. Sip on this stout because it can go straight to your head. Ohio is a trendy pick in this game but I’m going to be a Goose on my own island and take Iowa State (big stretch to get that one in). Forget the gambling allegations and suspensions…. or don’t I don’t care. Think about it, these kids will bet on themselves against a MAC team, right? Let’s ride with them, take Iowa State laying the points.

Pick: Iowa State -3

There is your wonderfully assorted 6 pack for this week’s college football slate. Enjoy responsible and celebrate these winners.
